When the Talley Group came to us for support to wash NHS mattresses for local hospitals, we were able to provide our knowledge and services to install two 32kg Miele PW6321 Washing Machines and two Miele PT8807 dryers to manage their needs.

The group has 3 sites around the country, washing up to hundreds of mattresses a day in each location, so the reliability and longevity of the machines, along with the quality of the wash were all incredibly important in the choice of machines for the site.  The mattresses have a quick turnaround time, so efficient washing, especially at the start of the pandemic was important. We were able to install and commission the machines during lock-down, and are proud to have been able to help the NHS in this small way. During the wash, the mattresses are thermally disinfected to eradicate bacteria and soiling, and independent monitoring devices are used to ensure that every cycle holds the required temperature for the correct amount of time to achieve thermal disinfection.

To meet with compliance guidelines, the laundry area is designed with a dirty room for washing, and a separate drying room to avoid contamination of the mattresses.

With a 12 floor office, global bank UBS have staff kitchens on every floor and a need for cutlery and crockery to be turned around quickly for regular use.
